Somewhere With You (@travel_reeler on Instagram, https://somewherewithyou.love) sells travel plans for the places in our reels. This page says what we keep about you, why, who else sees it, and how to have it removed. We do not sell personal data.
what we keep
- Your e-mail address, when you buy, sign in, ask for your free plan, subscribe to the weekly note, save a trip, ask for a refund or a price alert. It is how your plans follow you to another device.
- What you bought: the plan or collection, the date and the payment reference from Stripe or Gumroad. Card details never reach us; the payment provider handles them.
- A sign-in cookie (swy_user, signed, 90 days) that holds your e-mail and which plans you own, and a readable hint cookie (swy_in) that only says you are signed in.
- Anonymous usage counts: page views and taps (buy, share, booking links) with a random visitor id (swy_vid) and where you came from (via, the keyword, the reel). No name, no e-mail, no IP address is stored with them.
- Trips you save on the trip desk: dates, departure city, number of travellers.
- Questions to the concierge: for signed-in buyers, the last 12 turns for 30 days so it remembers your trip. The free question before buying is not stored.
- Instagram messages: when you comment a keyword or message @travel_reeler, our assistant (ManyChat, or our own bot) reads that comment or message to send you the link. We keep your Instagram user id and the keyword, not the conversation.
- Refund and privacy requests: what you wrote and your e-mail, so a person can answer.
who else sees it
- Stripe (card checkout; with Managed Payments Stripe is the merchant of record and handles tax) and Gumroad (the other checkout): your payment and e-mail.
- Resend sends our e-mails (sign-in codes, receipts of requests, the weekly note).
- Vercel hosts the site and Upstash stores the records above.
- Anthropic (Claude) answers concierge questions; it receives the question and the plan, not your e-mail.
- Meta / Instagram and ManyChat carry the comments and messages you send us there.
- Booking partners (Booking.com, Expedia, GetYourGuide and others): when you tap a booking link, that site sees the visit and a tag that says it came from us. They do not get your e-mail from us.
how long
Purchases and the e-mail tied to them for as long as you own the plan (so it keeps opening), and as long as tax law requires for the payment record. Usage counts carry no name or e-mail and are kept while the site runs. Concierge memory 30 days. Everything else until you ask us to remove it.
your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold or for its deletion at any time: data deletion. Sign out from your account clears the sign-in cookie on that device. Unsubscribe links are in every weekly note.
contact
Use the form on the data deletion page; a person reads every request.
