the story
Somewhere With You is a series of short hand-drawn reels about being somewhere beautiful with someone: one couple, a real place at its most romantic hour, and one hand-lettered line in the night sky. Every place in the series exists, so every episode comes with a plan to actually go: the stay whose room is the view, the exact spot to stand, the hour to be there, the day hour by hour and the local tables. The story of each hour is free on the site; the plan is $9, or $19 for every plan. Viewers who want the scene for themselves can have the two of them drawn into it, a save-the-date in the series' style, a gift with their own line, or the cover as a print.
the couple
The two people in every episode are the same pair, drawn in a clean ligne claire style: one even ink line, flat colour, dot eyes. She has golden shoulder-length waves and a coral-rust dress; he has short dark swept-back hair and a cream linen shirt with the sleeves rolled. They look at each other or at the view, never at the camera, so anyone watching can be them.
